Game series pages

There is now a "Browse" menu at the top of the website, which opens up a dropdown menu. In the very near future, this menu will have quite a few ways of looking around the site, but for now it just has one link: game series.

The game series page has a summary of the trophies and games in various popular game series like Assassin's Creed and Final Fantasy. Only a few game series appear here so far, but more will come over the next few days. Feel free to make suggestions/requests for series to appear here. Clicking on a particular game series lists all games that are available for sale in that series (Assassin's Creed example here).

  • Thanks! I'll start putting series pages together for these. I'm not too familiar with the Call of Duty, Battlefield, or Hitman games though -- would you (or anyone else) be willing to write up a one or two-paragraph basic description of the games and their typical trophy requirements? Something similar to at the top of the Assassin's Creed series page.
  • Sure:

    Call of Duty:

Call of Duty is a series of first-person shooter video games. Call of Duty games typically have no missable trophies due to their campaigns having mission select. Every Call of Duty features 3 core modes: Campaign, Multiplayer & Zombies/Spec Ops/Extinction. With most trophies being tied to the campaign, requiring it to be completed on Veteran difficulty, a few being tied to Multiplayer, and the rest being delegated to its third mode.  The games up until Modern Warfare (2019) had four paid DLC packs spread out over the year of the games release. All the DLC trophies are tied to the games third mode (Zombies,Spec Ops/Survival/Extinction)

For the most part, games in this series have straightforward, easy trophy lists, but the Zombies mode is highly skill dependent.

    Hitman

Hitman is a series of stealth video games, which incudes a single strategy, turn-based, puzzle orientated game. The entire premise of Hitman is about blending in,taking out your targets as stealthily as possible while also featuring gory, environmental ways of taking out your targets. Hitman Blood Money & Hitman: Absolution were more traditional games with chapters Starting with Hitman (2016) The World of Assassination Trilogy focuses more on well-defined maps that you can pick and choose while completing challenges that play into many different playstyles. The World of Assassination Trilogy includes numerous DLCs, all of which are each independent maps in its own DLC. Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 do not feature platinums.

For the most part, games in this series have straightforward trophy lists, that require lots of time to be spend mastering the games mechanics and levels.

    Battlefield

Battlefield is a series of first-person shooter video games. Battlefield games typically have very few (if any) missable trophies, requiring only one playthrough (Hardline requires 3), and needing to be completed on the games hardest difficulty settings. Every Battlefield game has a Singleplayer & Multiplayer mode. The game focuses on large scale vehicular combat spanning many different wars. Every game except Battlefield V has four DLC packs throughout the games first year with DLC trophies that are all tied to the multiplayer.

For the most part, games in this series have straightforward trophy lists, that require a majority of time to be spent in the games multiplayer.

Got some more games too :)

    The Walking Dead

    The Walking Dead (PS4)
The Walking Dead: Season 2 (PS4)
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier (PS4)
    The Walking Dead: Michonne (PS4)
The Walking Dead: The Final Season (PS4)
(I think I got the order mixed up, series was more confusing in terms of release and different versions, trophy lists having slightly different names than the store name, etc)

    Dead Rising

    Dead Rising (PS4)
    Dead Rising 2 (PS4)
Dead Rising 2 (Off The Record) (PS4)
    Dead Rising 4 (PS4)

    The Escapists

    The Escapists (PS4)
The Escapists: The Walking Dead (PS4)
    The Escapists 2 (PS4)

  • Excellent, thank you! The Call of Duty series page is now live, and I'll get to the others shortly (within a day or two).
  • A Telltale series is tricky, since most of their games aren't actually available for sale anymore (so aren't listed here). The few exceptions that are still for sale typically fall into other existing series. For example, Tales from the Borderlands is part of the Borderlands series. The Walking Dead games are part of their own series.

Some game series (like those two I just linked) do exist, but don't yet have description blurbs and series images, so aren't linked from the main series page. I'll get on that.
  • Oh, I didn’t realize most got delisted when they shutdown. Never mind then 😅
  • edited March 2021
DOOM 3 VR for the DOOM series
Just Dance (should be 8 games, 2014-2021)
  • Added Doom 3 VR, thanks. However, I can't make a Just Dance series though, for the same reason as Telltale -- they aren't for sale anymore. Whenever a new Just Dance game comes out, they delist the old ones.
  • I’m on a roll with mentioning delisted games. Lmao
  • I just changed some back-end stuff about how the game series pages work (in particular, how they handle user regions). I'm planning on making this change on *all* pages of the site in the near future, so please let me know if you encounter any weirdness on the series pages. The ideal result should be that you don't notice anything different at all.
