Description

This is the first title in the Dragon Quest series released in 1986.
It is the game that changed Japanese player's perception about the RPG genre when such genre was not as popular as it is right now.

Story
The story begins with the lost of the "Ball of Light" which has brought peace to the world due to the coming of the Dragonlord in the kingdom of Alefgard!
You will become the protagonist who has inherited the bloodline of the legendary warrior Roto, and set out on a journey to defeat the Dragonlord in order to save the world from the darkness.
