This new-and-improved experimental F-15 is equipped with 2D thrust vectoring nozzles and large canards for increased air combat maneuverability. This aircraft takes even greater command over the battlefield than its predecessor, overwhelming both air and ground targets with its sheer offensive power.
The S/MTD in its name stands for "Short Takeoff and Landing/Maneuver Technology Demonstrator".
