The same game, up to 95% cheaper on disc

Every game here costs less on physical disc than on the PlayStation Store right now. Digital prices are ours, read from PlayStation. Disc prices are new copies from Amazon, dated on every card. And a disc keeps its resale value, which a digital licence never does.

How this list works. Digital prices are the current PlayStation Store price for the same edition in your region. Disc prices are new copies from Amazon, rechecked through the day; marketplace and used listings are never counted. Disc vs digital FAQ

Why is the disc cheaper than the digital version?
Retailers set their own price on a physical copy and compete with each other, so discs get discounted quickly and deeply. The PS Store price is set by the publisher and usually only moves during an official sale, which is why a disc can sit well under the digital price for months.
Do I need a disc drive?
Yes. A physical copy needs a PS5 with a disc drive, a PS5 Pro with the add-on drive, or a PS4. The PS5 Digital Edition cannot play discs, so the digital price is the only one that applies to it.
Are these prices live?
They are the most recent price we recorded from Amazon, and every card shows how long ago we saw it. Amazon prices move faster than we can poll them, so treat the figure as a strong indication and confirm on the product page before buying.
Can I resell a disc?
Yes, and that is the part a price comparison cannot show. A disc can be lent, traded or sold on when you are finished, so its real cost is lower than the sticker price. A digital licence cannot be resold at all.
This page shows only the games that are cheaper on disc. Browse or search every disc price we hold, including the ones that cost more than the download. A disc is not the same product as a download, and the cheaper one is not automatically the better buy: a disc needs a console with a drive, has to be swapped to play, and arrives when the post does. It can also be lent, traded and sold on, which no digital licence can. Buying credit instead? See the PlayStation gift card price checker. Buying the machine rather than a game?
